As you step inside Ginny’s home, you can’t help but notice the cathedral ceiling & pure craftsmanship in absolutely everything, from the ceiling, to cupboards, to furniture! Ginny’s house was built, by her husband John, in 2010, and while the house itself is stunning, it’s made even better with the loving thought put into all of the décor that makes it a home.
Ginny, or “Megan’s mom” as most of us know her as, is of course, one of the store’s number one customers; therefore most of the décor you’ll see will be items that were purchased at Trend Addictions!
This desk was spotted by Ginny in the Bedford Collection of the Pottery Barn catalog, but is yet another piece that was built by her husband! We love the color that the red bistro clock adds! Ginny wrapped twine around the chain of her pendant lamp to take away from the industrial look, & give it a warm touch.
Ginny’s kitchen. Just wow. The cabinetry was all handcrafted by her husband, & is absolutely gorgeous, but what we really love is this open floor plan! The island adds extra storage, as well as seating, & makes the kitchen such a welcoming space for family & friends!
Directly off of the kitchen, is the dining room, which adds even more space & seating, to this beautiful layout! Sweet touches like the greenery, in the light fixture, gives this house a homey feeling.
We love the way that Ginny displayed these little vintage key frames she picked up at the store. Even the entryway is creative & adorable! Who would’ve thought to put a wreath ON the mirror?! So cute!
This display of family love, greenery, & even the clock is picture perfect. The mirror in the center of this display was made by our very own Megan, for her mom.
The rustic touch of these lanterns hung with rope, are one of our favorite touches, both here & at the store! The barnwood shelves hold so many great finds from Trend Addictions. As you can see from Ginny’s home, we think burlap can be used for just about everything! She adds a bows to vases, wreaths, & more, made an entire wreath that hangs on her mirror, & places it inside baskets that are filled with greenery!
Some little touches that add a great sense of home to this house.
A true decorator at heart, always decorates in every room — including the bathroom. Ginny has this amazing bathtub and loves to decorate around it, for a serene feeling.
This wood frame, sits on the shelf next to the fireplace so that everyone can see. This frame holds a very special picture, of a very special man. John’s brother, Mike (standing), passed away from cancer a few years ago. Anyone who knew this man, knew just what a great guy he was <3
It was a pleasure to be able to explore Ginny’s home – the downplayed primitive décor is something that Ginny displays ever-so-perfectly throughout her home. This was the last picture we took. This is Megan’s childhood rocking chair that is now used by her children. However, it always has this little doll taking it over. We don’t know about you, but this thing is freaky. We’re talking, Carrie-freaky. Do you think she should keep it for entertainment purposes, or chuck it to save from scaring the little children?
What’s your favorite part about this home? Leave some love for Ginny & John in the comments!
