I met Giovina through the Saxon Inn. She was looking for a refresh in her living room. The first thing she wanted was a fireplace. Now, I know what you’re thinking — what’s the big deal about a fireplace? Normally, it’s not a big deal. But, she has 18 foot ceilings! I knew that if we just did a normal one, it was going to be eaten alive by the size of the room. I knew we needed a dramatic fireplace. We decided on stone around the bottom and board and batten all the way up. Boy did it turn out amazing!
The original mood board had a chartreuse chaise in it, which they ended opting for a sandy blue instead. Adding 98″ curtains to the room worked well with the height. Bringing in small items such as a Bingo game and wooden dice, adds into their family time. I had my best friend, who happens to be an amazing artist, do 3 paintings to represent each of their children.
Her husband, Todd and their two little girls were so excited about the reveal. I was very happy to do such a grand room, for a grand family.
