If you missed week 1, check it out over here. Now, let’s get to the back story. For years, I’ve had a lot of health problems. I’d been to every ‘ologist’ out there and came out with no answers. This isn’t a health blog, so I’ll skip all of that. Let’s get right to the point where we found out that we had toxic mold in our house. The source was basically a pin hole in the roof that was probably dripping for 20 years. We had to move out of our home for a month while the remediation team came. They took down walls and removed the mold. Our house looked like a scene from Dexter. Once it was removed and we moved back in, our health got MUCH better. If you think you have mold, I highly recommend calling a mold inspector.

The remediation team did a great job, but the finishing team — that’s another story. The walls in our dining room looked awful. They put up the same trim that was already there and it was crooked. Even though we got it put back together, it still was a constant reminder of what we went through.
I’ve already color drenched the room and I love it so much. The color is amazing and it actually makes the room look a big larger.

Next step, installing the new light fixture, getting new chairs, new shelves and hanging artwork. I did buy 1 chair to make sure I like it, and I absolutely love it. I ordered 2 cabinets and they’ve arrived. The light wood one is very well made, the green cabinet, however, I wouldn’t recommend.
